Committing to a long-term broadband plan can have some advantages, like a loyalty discount or introductory offer, but with a no-contract plan you are free to cancel at any time, and you can still get some really competitive prices.
There are different options available for no-contract broadband, with some bundle deals which include a digital TV service, and you can often take inclusive home calls as well.
Broadband speeds vary depending on whether it is standard ADSL or fibre, but fibre broadband is going to be much faster. For your usage, some packages will be uncapped so you don’t have to worry about downloading too much each month.
