What is Cuckoo Broadband?
Cuckoo Broadband is a UK-based full‑fibre ISP on a mission to simplify broadband. With a clear focus on fast connection speeds, flat pricing, and award-worthy service, it positions itself as a user-first alternative to the larger providers.
Their brand ethos – “fast, fair, feel‑good broadband” – underpins a commitment to straightforward, inflation‑linked pricing and flexible contracts. The aim is to eliminate confusing bundles, hidden fees, and surprise price hikes.
Is Cuckoo Broadband any good?
Cuckoo’s strengths lie in their Full Fibre speeds, clear pricing, and flexible rolling contracts. Their ethos aligns well for those tired of complex broadband jargon and big‑name complications.
Cuckoo is ideal for users who value simplicity and transparency, as well as those who want the option of short-term commitment, with them offering 12-month contracts that are becoming less common from other providers.
Cuckoo won’t be the answer to your needs if you’re looking for a provider who will do bundles, putting together broadband with other things like TV. They are broadband and broadband only.
They also only offer Full Fibre, which is both a positive and a negative. While Cuckoo offers ultrafast speeds, their Full Fibre offering is less available than the likes of some of their bigger competitors, so before committing to Cuckoo as your broadband of choice, be sure to check if you can get it in your area.
In short, if you can get Cuckoo in your area, you’ll be able to enjoy good, fast broadband, with key highlights such as:
Transparent, fixed pricing – No worries of an unexpected mid-contract. Cuckoo states upfront any price rises and won’t change them at any point
No hidden fees – Full cost breakdowns are given when signing up, and with all installation costs included, you won’t be hit with any surprise charges
Premium router included – Every plan comes with a high-performance eero Pro 6E router at no extra cost, ensuring fast, secure, and reliable whole-home Wi-Fi
How fast are Cuckoo Broadband’s speeds?
With Full Fibre offerings, Cuckoo delivers ultrafast speeds that start at 150Mbps average download speed and goes up to the 900Mbps average download speed.
As mentioned earlier, while Full Fibre coverage in the UK is growing, not everywhere has access to it and it depends on the network of which the provider operates on – in Cuckoo’s case, that’s the CityFibre network, which services up to 8 million homes nationwide.
C-150 – 150Mbps average download speed, 25Mbps average upload speed
C-500 – 500Mbps average download speed, 70Mbps average upload speed
C-900 – 900Mbps average download speed, 110Mbps average upload speed
How much is Cuckoo Broadband?
Cuckoo offers just three speeds but with the option of either 12-month or 24-month contracts. There is a slight difference in monthly cost between 12-month and 24-month options.
Their packages start from £32 for their entry option, which at 150Mbps average download speed does put them on the higher end amongst the competition.
Unlike many providers, Cuckoo doesn’t increase prices after promotional periods, and gives full cost breakdowns upfront.
For instance, like many providers, Cuckoo implements a price increase each year in April. For full transparency before choosing one of their packages, they have stated that all 24-month contracts will experience a £3 monthly price rise in April 2026 and a further £3 again in April 2027.
This is only applicable on the 24-month contracts. 12-month contracts are subject to fixed pricing for the duration, so even if you were to sign up now, you would be locked in to pay the current monthly cost even when the price rise comes into effect next April.

Cuckoo Broadband: Technical specs & installation
Every Cuckoo Broadband plan comes with a powerful eero Pro 6E router, included for free. It supports tri-band Wi-Fi 6E for faster speeds, better device handling, and improved range across your home.
With automatic security updates, parental controls, and mesh compatibility, it’s a future-proof bit of kit that’s easy to manage through the eero app.
Installation
Installation is straightforward. If your property already has a fibre line, it’s typically a plug-and-play setup.
Otherwise, an engineer will visit to install the fibre connection and wall-mounted ONT (optical modem). Cuckoo keeps you informed throughout, with text reminders and clear setup instructions so you’re ready for go-live day.
Best of all, the setup and installation process is entirely free, all included in the price so you don’t have to worry about an extra upfront cost.
Cuckoo Broadband: Customer service
Cuckoo holds a 4.3/5 Trustpilot rating, based on over 5,000 reviews, with 77% of ratings giving them five stars.
Many of the reviews speak highly of their UK-based support team, saying they are handy and capable with most queries.
We should emphasise most, though, as any complaints that do come through are typically about the same or similar problems, such as technical fault resolution and response delays.
But with only 13% of one star reviews, these issues are few and far between. For the most part, Cuckoo’s customer service is top of the lot – quite literally. They have been voted top for customer service twice in a row on MoneySavingExpert.com with a rating of 9.7/10.
Cuckoo Broadband: What we think
Cuckoo Broadband delivers on its promise of “fast, fair, feel-good” internet with straightforward full‑fibre plans and inclusive hardware. Their flexibility and clarity make them an appealing option for users tired of hidden fees and long contracts.
